GUYS! I GOT TO DRIVE A CAR YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!
After my volleyball practice my daddio let me circle our Toyota minivan (aw yeah! super American here... LOL) all around the big, open parking lot of the Gym. It was really fun, although it was a little nerve-racking since it was my absolute first time. I had always imagined it took a lot of energy and effort to drive, but really you touch the accelerator only very lightly-- the same is true with the brakes. :D We were in park for a little while before I started going anywhere so Dad could point out the parts of the car, etc., and then he said, "Okay, give it a little gas." (We were definitely still in park.) And I gave it a little more than a little, and I actually really revved it up... it was rather amusing. :D And I was in flip flops and my awesome volleyball socks so my feet were a little slippery.
But all in all, folks, I had a good time. We're going to drive around again tonight!! Yay!!!
